Poll results for the fourth election week have been reported by 26 of the 29 states, confirming the results of the third week poll. There are no surprises in the Democratic primary, as Senator Bennett Solomon continues to hold a strong lead with the support of 18 states. Senator Grace Cabral and Mayor Ali Hammoud trail with 4 states each. Senator Mizuki Brent leads the Republican primary, capturing the support of 14 states, while Senator Gideon Helf comes in second with 11 states’ support. Senator Logan Glazier was supported by one state.
Brent is also leading the general election, earning 142 electoral votes. Helf is currently in second place with 93 votes, Solomon in third with 84 votes, Hammoud in fourth with 29 votes, and Glazier in fifth with 6 votes. Cabral’s campaign continues to struggle after failing to earn any electoral votes for the third consecutive week. Brent, Helf, and Solomon, in addition to being the top three candidates in the race, also have the strongest tax reform and healthcare platforms, according to voters.
Voters also reported that campaign ads were not having a big effect, with around half stating that they had not seen any ads or that the ads they have seen have had no effect on them. Additionally, seven people mentioned Senator Brent’s ad, describing it as “impressive” and “powerful”. Many states which had previously supported Helf, voted for Brent in this poll, suggesting that her ads have been successful. When asked why their vote changed, several states felt as if Brent worked hard in her speech to win their vote, while Helf “took his following for granted.” Lastly, constituents were asked to provide questions for the candidates that will be used in the debate this Thursday.
